We're excited to welcome graduate fellow Zakiya Collier to the Barnard Archives, and to celebrate Suze Myers' transition to Design Center Advisor!

Zakiya Collier is a Dual-Master’s student in Media, Culture, and Communication at New York University and Library and Information Science at Long Island University. Bringing together cultural and information studies, her research and creative practice draws on black feminist thought, critical archival studies, and digital cultural studies. She is currently an Oral History Intern at the Weeksville Heritage Center and has held various roles in New York University libraries and archives. Zakiya holds a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of South Carolina. She is excited to be joining the Barnard Library and Archives community!

Suze Myers '16 just completed her time as an Exhibits Fellow with the Barnard Library. In that time, she oversaw the creation of a stunning exhibit in the Milstein Center's first floor lobby, Open Doors! Prior to the Milstein exhibit, she also worked as the library's communications and zine assistant. As Design Center Advisor, she will help bring digital projects to life as tangible, 3-dimensional objects!
