Yisel Garcia (Barnard '19) is a part-time studio assistant at the Design Center. She is a performance artist, arts educator, meditation teacher, and zinester. She's primarily interested in paper arts, prop-making, knitting, animation, and theater technologies.
As a student, she studied sociocultural anthropology and theater, and worked at the Glicker-Milstein Theater as a theater technician. When she isn't at the Design Center, she is hosting and facilitating events at Reccreate Collective and studying Buddhist dharma at Three Jewels NYC.
Her skills include: Adobe creative suite, Procreate, varied textile arts, zine-making, varied paper arts methods, basic scenic design drafting, prop building, puppetry, theater technology, and ideation support.
